The Egg tells the story of a mystery. This massive chicken egg looking egg is sitting in a normal bird nest beginning to hatch. The nest is somewhere in the wild on the ground. as the egg is hatching, a yellow reptilian eye stares back at the viewer. Not knowing what birthed this massive egg the viewer does not know what will come out of it or what will happen.

          I wanted to draw an egg to symbolize the future. The egg in question comes from an unknown origin and we don't know what is inside of it. Similar to the future, we don't know what is going to happen and we have no control over it. I wanted to use a light blue for the shell to mimic a chicken egg without using white paint and the green and grey to symbolize outside colours for nature.

          The message I wanted to tell everyone is to be careful about your future. Like this egg, you don't know what is going to come out or what is going to happen so be careful. Take your time and think out everything you want to and don't be afraid to take your time.

          I used a few techniques for this painting. for the ground, I sanded down the areas further from the egg to give it a slight gradient. For the background, I used a combination of alcohol and salt to give it some more texture. Lastly for the egg, I used a paper towel to dab off the paint to make it more white.
